Anupama 20th September 2024 Written Episode Update

The episode starts with Anupama replaying Pakhi’s sarcastic remark about staying at a friend’s house. Pakhi had thanked her with an edge in her voice, highlighting the tension between them. Pakhi, clearly worried, turns to Toshu, asking if something bad might happen. Toshu, filled with frustration, replies bitterly, stating it feels like everyone around them is seeking revenge.

Pakhi complains about the discomfort of their situation, noting how their clothes are wet and they’re being bothered by mosquitoes. She adds that Anupama didn’t even allow them enough time to grab their handbag. Toshu tries to calm her, mentioning that he stumbled upon their father’s credit card while searching for some property papers. Overjoyed, Pakhi suggests they go shopping, knowing their father will end up paying the bill. Toshu jokes that their expenses will reach into the lakhs, as they plan to check into a luxury hotel.

Back at Asha Bhavan, Anupama starts the day by waking everyone up and distributing toothbrushes. She hugs Baa in an attempt to uplift her spirits, while Kinjal heads to the kitchen to prepare tea. Meanwhile, Dolly, Dimpy, Indra, and others line up to use the bathroom as the uplifting song “Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zarurat Hai” plays softly in the background.

Kinjal serves tea and prepares parathas, and outside, Aadhya helps the children bathe by playfully splashing water on them. The light-hearted scene brings smiles to everyone’s faces. Soon after, Anuj asks Baa and Babuji to lead the aarti, which they perform with sincerity and devotion.

Anupama later sees Anuj, busy making calls, struggling to find a job without much success. As the song “Mere Paas Hai Tu” plays, Anuj scribbles a note on a paper resting on Anupama’s back. His efforts soon pay off when he receives a message from a former business competitor, offering him a job. Sensing his frustration, Anupama gently asks if he’s feeling upset. Anuj explains that he has many responsibilities, and avoiding them would only make things worse.

He also mentions their duty to Mahi, saying he still needs to win her heart. Anupama lovingly assures him that he already has. They share a playful exchange, and then shift their focus to making a delivery of pickles and papads to a nearby hotel. Anuj, determined to regain his former glory, promises that once things improve, Anupama won’t have to handle these small tasks anymore.

Elsewhere, Baa watches as Dolly and Dimpy unpack a tarpaulin. In an act of support, she offers Bala one of her bangles, telling him to sell it if they need money for rations. Bala reassures her that they’re not in dire straits yet but agrees to take it later if necessary. Meanwhile, Dimpy and Dolly grumble about the workload they’ve been saddled with. Dimpy, referencing Titu’s house, states she won’t leave without securing her share.

Kinjal advises her to enjoy her comforts while she can, but Dimpy refuses to relent until she gets what she believes she’s owed. Dolly, equally frustrated, reveals she’s staying to claim her own share as well, confusing Meenu, who doesn’t understand the tension. Dolly then states that after everything is resolved, she plans to return to the US with her daughter.

Over at the hotel, Toshu and Pakhi are enjoying themselves, indulging in luxury. Pakhi takes several selfies to post on social media, hoping to evoke envy among her followers. Meanwhile, Aadhya, scrolling through her phone, shows the photos to Kinjal. Kinjal shakes her head at their irresponsible behavior, knowing the credit card they’re using has its limits. She warns Aadhya not to inform Anupama just yet.

Elsewhere, Bala is seen repairing a phone while Sagar eyes Meenu with suspicion. Back at Asha Bhavan, Baa asks Dolly and Dimpy to help chop onions for the tiffin service. Though reluctant, they agree, but their eyes quickly sting from the strong scent. Anupama steps in, handing them helmets to protect their eyes from the irritation. Baa wisely comments that those who are willing to work will always find a way, but those who don’t want to will make endless excuses.

Suddenly, Nandita slips, but Titu catches her just in time, preventing an accident. She thanks him gratefully, but Dimpy, overwhelmed with jealousy, slaps Nandita across the face. Titu, shocked by Dimpy’s outburst, tries to understand what’s going on. Anupama intervenes, demanding an explanation.

Dimpy accuses Nandita of trying to seduce Titu, harshly telling Anupama that she’s too wrapped up in her relationship with Anuj to notice the chaos around her. Dimpy angrily accuses Anupama of breaking families apart—first Baa and Babuji, then Kinjal and Toshu, and now Titu and her. She also insults Nandita, accusing her of manipulating rich men for money and claiming this is why her husband left her.

Anupama, furious, slaps Dimpy and warns her that such baseless accusations won’t be tolerated. She defends Nandita and Tapish, making it clear that neither would stoop so low. Demanding an apology, Anupama stands firm, but Dimpy refuses to apologize. Tapish steps in and apologizes to Nandita on behalf of Dimpy, who remains unrepentant. Nandita, tearful but relieved, reassures everyone that she would never try to break apart someone’s family. Anupama hugs her, offering words of comfort and encouragement.

Still angry, Dimpy lashes out once more, accusing Anupama of prioritizing her adopted daughter over her biological children and suggesting that she cares more for the residents of Asha Bhavan than her own family. She warns the Asha Bhavan residents to be cautious, predicting that one day, Anupama will betray them just like she’s done to her family.

At the hotel, Toshu and Pakhi, having enjoyed their meal, decide to head out for a shopping spree. However, they’re interrupted when the hotel manager arrives, demanding they settle their bill. Toshu and Pakhi try to wriggle out of paying by complaining about the food and service, but the manager is unmoved, insisting they pay up. Toshu has no choice but to agree.

Back at Asha Bhavan, Nandita is in tears, heartbroken by Dimpy’s accusations. Anupama consoles her, encouraging her to stand strong and not let Dimpy’s words get to her.

Precap: Anuj is lovingly seen tying Anupama’s hair. Meanwhile, Toshu and Pakhi attempt to sneak out of the hotel without paying but end up falling at Anupama’s feet. They are forced to wash dishes as punishment, and the hotel manager thanks Anupama for alerting him, stopping their escape. A furious Pakhi accuses Anupama of betraying them, while Toshu demands to know if she really had them caught.
