Anupama 27th September 2024 Episode Update
The episode begins with Anupama receiving an important contract. To express her gratitude, she offers sweets to the courier, who accepts them with a smile. Nearby, Anuj gently reminds her that while she may have given up hope, he never has. He encourages her to review the contract, but Anupama hesitates, admitting the legal terms are too difficult for her to understand. She asks Anuj to read it out loud, and as he begins, everyone listens attentively. Seeing their closeness, Nandita can’t help but wonder aloud why they haven’t tied the knot yet, considering the deep bond they share.
Anupama reassures Anuj that the contract was drafted by Mr. Mehta’s son, so it should be trustworthy. However, Anuj, being cautious from past experiences, advises her to thoroughly read through it before signing. He reminds her that trust is important, but it should never overshadow careful judgment. As he leaves, Anuj urges her to take her time. Anupama reflects on his words and, determined to relieve his worries, makes a call to set something in motion.
Later, Aadhya approaches Anuj and expresses her admiration for his undying love for Anupama. She’s happy to see that despite everything, his feelings for her haven’t changed. Anuj confides that he’s still trying to win her heart, though she remains hesitant due to her past wounds and heavy responsibilities. Aadhya hugs him, offering support, and Anuj reassures her that he would go to any lengths for Anupama.
Meanwhile, Anupama starts to read through the contract on her own, while Anuj keeps an eye on her with a warm smile. Feeling his gaze, Anupama blushes but continues. Elsewhere, Sagar is anxious, wondering where Baa and Dolly may have taken Meenu, as he wasn’t able to follow them. At that moment, Toshu and Pakhi make a grand entrance, joyfully dancing. Shortly after, Baa, Dolly, and a downcast Meenu arrive. Dolly reveals that she has arranged for Meenu to marry a wealthy doctor. While Dimpy is thrilled, Sagar is visibly stunned by the news.
Sensing something amiss, Anupama asks Meenu if she was pressured into the decision. Meenu calmly explains that it was her own choice, as she realized she and Sagar were not right for each other. Dolly warns everyone not to push Meenu further. However, Anupama digs deeper, asking why Meenu would agree to marry someone she barely knows. Meenu firmly replies that she made the decision for herself and owes no explanations. When Anupama suggests they start packing, Toshu interrupts, noting that the new family’s home is large and welcoming, and they expect them to live there. Pakhi, excited, imagines a peaceful life there, but Baa insists they will stay in their current home.
As the family discusses Meenu’s situation, Baa and Babuji get into a heated argument. Baa worries about Dolly’s reaction if things go wrong. Meanwhile, Toshu and Pakhi are thrilled at the idea of moving into a luxurious house, with Toshu hoping the family might invest in his business venture. Pakhi, however, dismisses his ambitions, more interested in making wealthy friends and enjoying high-society events. Their dreams are interrupted when Nandita informs them that Sagar is missing.
Tension builds as Dolly calls for Meenu, but Dimpy returns with alarming news: Meenu is missing from her room. Pakhi speculates that Meenu may have run away with Sagar. Furious, Dolly accuses Anupama of encouraging their escape and blames her for the situation. Anuj steps in, defending Anupama and warning Dolly to be careful with her accusations. Baa also demands answers, insisting Anupama knows where Meenu and Sagar are.
To everyone’s surprise, Meenu and Sagar enter the room, revealing that they have already married in secret. Meenu explains that they felt cornered and had no other choice. Outraged, Toshu throws a glass at Sagar, but Meenu catches it and throws it back, warning Toshu not to disrespect her husband. Sagar stands by her side, declaring that he won’t allow anyone to insult his wife. Toshu mocks them, sarcastically suggesting they’ll now have to live in Sagar’s auto.
Dolly, unable to accept the marriage, attempts to forcibly remove Meenu’s garland, sindoor, and mangalsutra, claiming that their marriage is invalid without the family’s approval. Just as she’s about to wipe away Meenu’s sindoor, Anupama intervenes, stopping her. She calmly explains that while Dolly has every right to scold Meenu, erasing her sindoor is unacceptable. Anupama reminds Toshu and Pakhi that they too eloped, and she never removed their sindoor. On the verge of tears, Meenu tells Dolly that she only eloped because she felt pressured into marrying the doctor without being consulted. She expresses her sorrow over not being able to marry with her family’s blessing.
Baa scolds Meenu for blaming her mother, but Meenu stands firm. Distraught, Dolly blames Anupama, accusing her of influencing Meenu and Sagar through her own relationship with Anuj. Meanwhile, Pakhi and Aadhya get into a heated argument, with Aadhya defending her parents and Pakhi trying to assert her dominance. When Pakhi raises her hand to strike Aadhya, Anuj steps in, sternly warning her not to lay a hand on a child. He also advises Aadhya not to interfere in adult matters.
Sagar then turns to Anupama, asking if she will welcome her new daughter-in-law. Meenu echoes his question, wondering if Anupama thinks they were wrong. Anupama gently explains that love itself is never wrong, but eloping without considering the family was. She points out that Meenu acted in the same impulsive way she accused Dolly of—making decisions without considering others. Anupama adds that although Dolly’s approach may have been flawed, it came from a place of love and concern for her daughter’s future.
In the upcoming scene, Meenu tearfully apologizes to Dolly, who, in her grief, declares that she will never accept Sagar as her son-in-law, even if it costs her everything. In her anguish, Dolly curses Anupama, predicting that she will never find peace with her own daughter.
