Do Dooni Pyaar 1st October 2024 Written Episode Update: Kalyani Welcomes Ganga into the Family
The latest episode of Do Dooni Pyaar begins with the homecoming ceremony for Ritu and Akshay as they arrive for their grah pravesh (house entry ritual). Ritu, brimming with excitement, declares, “Finally, I will officially be recognized as the daughter-in-law of this house.” However, Akshay quickly halts her excitement, asserting, “Hold on. My mother should be the one to perform the aarti. After all, I am Hema’s son, and you are her daughter-in-law. It’s her place to welcome us.”
Although visibly annoyed, Ritu tries to brush it off, saying, “Let’s just go inside.” But Akshay remains firm, insisting, “No, my mother is here, and no one else will perform this ritual. Plus, everything is being recorded, so don’t show your irritation. Trust me, everything will be fine.” Ritu, trying to mask her frustration, attempts to calm the situation, but Akshay, unwilling to compromise, sternly adds, “This is between my mother and me, so it’s best if you stay out of it.” Feeling hurt, Ritu struggles to hide her disappointment.
Just as they are about to step inside, Kalyani steps in, announcing, “Ritu cannot be the first to enter. Ganga will come in before her.” Both Ritu and Lalita are taken aback when they see Ganga arriving in a beautifully adorned car, accompanied by a solemn-looking Abhay. Kalyani smiles knowingly, recalling how she had persuaded Abhay to give Ganga another chance, which led to this moment.
Ritu’s irritation deepens, and Lalita quietly comments, “It looks like Ganga won’t be doing the household chores anymore.” Ignoring the tension, Kalyani and Hema proceed to perform the aarti for both their sons and daughters-in-law, while Dadi looks on with a pleased smile. Meanwhile, Ritu, feeling sidelined, thinks to herself, “Ganga’s husband is a doctor, and now they are treating her like royalty.”
Kalyani then formally declares that Ganga and Abhay will perform the grah pravesh first. As Ganga and Abhay step inside the house, Ritu follows them reluctantly, barely managing to keep her anger in check. Lalita leans in and advises her, “We’ll handle this later. For now, you must tolerate it.”
As Ganga steps into her new home with Abhay, Hema performs the welcoming ritual for Akshay and Ritu as well. The atmosphere is heavy with tension. Ganga, on the other hand, reflects on the encouraging words Kalyani had shared with her during a low point. Kalyani, with a gentle smile, hands Ganga a shagun (blessing gift) and asks, “What does marriage mean to you, Ganga?”
With resolve in her eyes, Ganga responds, “Marriage is about partnership—a promise to support one another and to help correct each other’s mistakes. I want to continue my education, and since Abhay is a doctor, he can help me achieve that goal. But marriage is more than just practicalities. For me, it’s a sacred bond, like the one between Lord Shiva and Parvati, meant to last for eternity.”
Tears welling up in her eyes, Ganga adds, “I want to nurture and protect this relationship, not tear it apart.” Touched by her sincerity, Kalyani offers her advice, saying, “How can you protect this bond if you go back to the ashram? Marriage is not a game. You’ve said that you don’t want an annulment, so you must fight for this relationship. If you distance yourself, you’ll lose the fight.”
Kalyani then hands Ganga the shagun, smiling warmly as she adds, “Don’t let anyone break this bond.” Overwhelmed with emotion, Ganga accepts the blessing with gratitude, her eyes shining with happiness and relief.
As Kalyani watches Ganga, she reflects on their earlier conversation, feeling proud of how much Ganga has grown and how determined she is to protect her marriage.
Precap:
The neighborhood women begin to gossip, saying, “It looks like you’ve hired a maid for your daughter-in-law.” Ritu, feeling deeply insulted, assumes they are talking about her. In a fit of anger, she secretly tucks Ganga’s saree into a pole, leading to a dramatic moment where Ganga falls down the stairs.
