Kumkum Bhagya 23rd Sept 2024: RV and Poorvi Share an Emotional Encounter
The episode kicks off with Monisha eagerly calling Neha to ask where she is. Neha, with her usual flair for the dramatic, replies that she’s about to make a big, show-stopping entrance and urges Monisha to wait and watch. Meanwhile, RV is trying to speak with Poorvi, but she intentionally avoids him, which only prompts RV to follow her in an effort to have a conversation.
Elsewhere, Yug approaches Diya, who seems visibly upset. Concerned, he gently asks what’s bothering her. Diya explains that everything feels wrong, pointing out how just a day ago they were in court, and now, preparations for the sangeet ceremony are underway.
Yug tries to soothe her by reminding her that they had anticipated this situation and were hoping to gather crucial evidence during the court hearing. Though they didn’t find anything concrete, Yug believes Bhabhi made the right choice by not revealing Nethra’s profession in court. Diya, however, is unsure about this, but Yug clarifies that exposing Nethra wouldn’t have necessarily proved that Neha was lying.
He comforts Diya by reassuring her that they still have nine days to uncover the truth and that, by the tenth day, Neha’s deception will be exposed. Diya appreciates his support but remains deeply concerned for Poorvi. She fears that if Neha’s manipulation succeeds, Poorvi could lose RV forever. With emotions running high, Diya starts to cry, and Yug tenderly embraces her to console her. This touching moment is observed by Deepika, who senses trouble brewing and decides to inform Chachi.
In another part of the house, RV finally corners Poorvi in the kitchen, frustrated by her constant avoidance. Grabbing her hand, he demands to know why she’s been keeping her distance. Poorvi, clearly overwhelmed, pulls away, explaining that she’s just busy with work. Not buying her excuse, RV asks if his mother’s words are the reason behind her behavior. Poorvi admits that RV’s mother is not just upset about the unresolved issue but believes Poorvi is the cause of it.
RV, trying to lighten the situation, quotes his grandmother, saying, “Whether the hammer strikes the foot or the foot strikes the hammer, it hurts all the same.” He subtly suggests that Poorvi may be displacing her frustration with his mother onto him. Poorvi, taken aback, firmly denies this, insisting she holds no ill will toward his mother and respects her concerns, as all parents only want the best for their children.
Changing the subject, RV asks if Poorvi is really upset about his engagement to Nethra. Poorvi, in turn, questions why RV isn’t angry with her for the current situation, saying he has every right to be. RV reassures her that as her husband, his role is to stand by her through thick and thin. With tears in her eyes, Poorvi bitterly states that while he’s her husband for now, once he marries Nethra, their relationship will be over for good.
RV, frustrated and feeling misunderstood, points out that no matter what he does, she either feels unheard or accuses him of not supporting her. His confusion is palpable, as he feels there’s no way to make her happy. Poorvi, just as emotional, tells him that by agreeing to marry Nethra, he’s already doing what he wants, and it’s tearing her apart.
Trying to ease the tension, RV cracks a joke, saying he should be the one crying since she scolds him so much. Poorvi, half-smiling through her tears, denies scolding him but admits that she is filled with complaints. She expresses her heartbreak over his decision to marry Nethra, feeling as though it will tear them apart forever.
RV, trying to console her, embraces Poorvi and comments with a smile that he’s never met someone who can be so angry and sad at the same time. Still emotional, Poorvi asks him to say something meaningful, but when he tries to lighten the mood once more, she becomes upset and tells him to leave. RV, hurt by her words, walks away, leaving Poorvi to immediately regret what she said, wondering if he’s truly angry with her.
Meanwhile, Vaishali approaches Harleen, asking her to join the family in the celebrations. Harleen, however, coldly refuses and pretends to be happy for Nethra, while inwardly blaming Poorvi for the entire situation. Vaishali attempts to offer some comfort, but Harleen brushes her off. At that moment, Deepika arrives and ominously warns Vaishali to be cautious, as trouble might be heading her way as well.
Puzzled, Vaishali presses for more information, and Deepika reveals that she witnessed Yug hugging Diya and implies that their behavior was inappropriate. Deepika suggests that while RV is sacrificing by marrying Nethra for the sake of the family’s honor, Yug is stirring up problems, potentially leading to scandal. Alarmed, Vaishali rushes off to confront them.
Back with Yug and Diya, Yug asks if she’s feeling better, and Diya reassures him that she doesn’t want to burden anyone with her problems. As they continue talking, RV passes by without saying a word, and Poorvi soon follows, asking Diya if she’s seen him. Diya points her in the right direction, and Poorvi hurries off in pursuit. Watching the scene unfold, Yug comments that it looks like RV and Poorvi had a fight. Diya, smiling, says that arguments are often a sign of love. Curious, Yug asks Diya what she thinks love truly means, but before she can answer, Vaishali arrives and calls him away.
Poorvi eventually catches up to RV but is intercepted by Monisha, who pries into their situation. Poorvi dismisses her, but Monisha smugly asserts that RV doesn’t care about Poorvi and will marry Nethra without hesitation. Poorvi tries to ignore her, but Monisha confidently declares that even if RV’s marriage to Nethra doesn’t work out, he will still end up with her.
At that moment, the sound of drums fills the air as Neha makes her grand entrance, dancing exuberantly with a group of performers. She dramatically unveils herself, announcing that this is her big moment. With her parents absent, Neha jokes that she had to make her own grand entrance. She encourages everyone to join in the celebration, proclaiming it the happiest day of her life. As she continues to dance, Sahil, disguised as one of the drummers, arrives unnoticed.
Neha dances over to RV, while Poorvi watches helplessly from a distance, her heart heavy with worry. As the festive atmosphere builds, the women from the NGO arrive, urging the drummers to keep playing, setting the stage for the next chapter of tension and unresolved emotions.
