Maati Se Bandhi Dor 1st October 2024 Written Episode: Ranvijay’s Tension with Jaya
The episode kicks off with Ranvijay feeling uneasy about going to a specific place. He remarks, “I don’t think we should head there.” His thoughts are interrupted by a call from Vaiju. Concerned, Ranvijay immediately asks, “Where are you? Why did you leave without informing anyone? Everyone’s worried about you because they care.” Vaiju, feeling somewhat detached, asks him to hand the phone to Vasundara.
When Vasundara takes the call, her tone is filled with worry as she asks, “Vaiju, where have you been? We’ve all been so anxious.” Vaiju quickly apologizes, explaining, “I came to Jhumri Patan for my studies. I’ll be focusing on that from now on.” Vasundara calms her down and advises her to concentrate on her education, suggesting she speak with Jaya.
Jaya then picks up the phone, her voice filled with concern as she asks, “Are you alright? I’ve been really worried about you.” Feeling guilty, Vaiju replies, “I’m sorry. I always seem to mess things up.” Jaya tries to reassure her, saying, “It’s okay, just focus on your studies.” Ranvijay wants to speak with Vaiju, but she refuses, saying, “Not right now, my phone’s battery is low. I’ll call later,” before ending the call abruptly. Sensing Vaiju’s emotional state, Jaya comments, “She said she’d call back later.”
Upon reaching Jhumri Patan, Vaiju gets emotional as she kneels down and takes a handful of soil, her memories bringing tears to her eyes. She notices a shop displaying colorful bangles, which triggers more nostalgia. At that moment, Aaji spots her and is surprised, asking, “Vaiju! What are you doing here? How did you come?” Vaiju responds, “I took the bus. I’m here to take my 12th-grade exams. Ranvijay had some work to take care of.” Aaji blesses her for making the trip and extends her well wishes to Ranvijay, who is lost in thought, reflecting on her absence.
Back home, Jaya notices Ranvijay’s distracted behavior and asks, “What’s bothering you?” She hesitates before adding, “But I think I already know—everyone is upset about Vaiju.” Ranvijay, clearly irritated, snaps, “No one ever thinks about how I feel. Everyone’s making decisions without even consulting me.” Confused, Jaya asks, “What decisions?” Ranvijay accuses her, “You made the decision for Vaiju to leave. Why do you care so much? You never involve me in these choices. You say we’re partners, but did you even discuss going to Jhumri Patan with me?” Stunned by his accusations, Jaya asks, “Why are you speaking to me like this? You’ve never talked to me this way before.” Ranvijay, still frustrated, responds, “Maybe I’ve been making the wrong choices all along.” Jaya, trying to reason with him, says, “I thought it would be right for us to visit Vaiju. Avoiding her doesn’t feel fair.” But Ranvijay dismisses her, replying, “I don’t want to go. I have too much work to deal with.” Offended by his response, Jaya coldly states, “Fine, but don’t speak to me in that tone.”
Meanwhile, at Aaji’s house in Jhumri Patan, inspector Milind arrives, calling out for Vaiju. Aaji, feeling anxious, asks, “What’s going on, Vaiju?” Calmly, Vaiju replies, “I’ll handle it,” before heading outside to meet the inspector. Back at home, Vasundara is tending to her plants, lamenting, “These plants have lost their vibrancy since Vaiju left.” She turns to Ranvijay and says, “You should care for these plants. It’s your duty now. Vaiju once saved your life, and she always said plants have feelings—they respond when we talk to them.” Ranvijay, thinking it’s nonsense, reluctantly waters the plants while grumbling to himself. Just then, Rao Sahab arrives with some words of advice.
Elsewhere, Vaiju is surprised to run into her old friend Milind, who is now a police inspector. Playfully, he asks, “You got married so soon? Why did you let the villagers pressure you? I thought you were someone who stood up for herself.” Vaiju is taken aback by his words, unsure how to respond.
At home, Vasundara notices Ranvijay’s troubled expression and asks, “Why didn’t you go to Jhumri Patan?” Ranvijay admits, “I decided not to go.” Shocked, Vasundara questions, “Why not? Jaya was really hoping to see Vaiju.” He explains, “I have to go to Pune for some mill-related work, so I’ll visit Jhumri Patan later.” Jaya, overhearing this conversation, is deeply hurt by his choice.

Vaiju arrives late for her exam, and the invigilator coldly tells her, “You’re too late. You’ll have to try again next year.” Upset, Vaiju explains, “I had a family emergency.” At that moment, Ranvijay intervenes, standing up for her, “She’s my wife. I’m asking you to give her a chance. Please allow her to take the exam so she can pursue her dreams.” Touched by his plea, the invigilator nods, granting permission, and the couple breathes a sigh of relief.
