Maati Se Bandhi Dor – September 15, 2024: A Romantic Moment for Vaiju and Ranvijay
The episode opens with Vasundara animatedly talking about the Ganpati festival with the family. Arhaan enthusiastically introduces Vaiju to the idea of a sleepover, and she is thrilled by the idea of singing and enjoying the festivities.
As Jaya notices Ranvijay nearby, she quietly steps away. Meanwhile, Vaiju, Ragini, and others are diligently preparing for the celebrations. Ranvijay attempts to assist Jaya, but she walks off, prompting Rao Sahab and Vasundara to observe from a distance.
As the family gathers, Arhaan suggests they organize an activity. Naagraj proposes a game of Antakshari, which Vasundara supports, asking Vaiju to kick off the game. With Ragini cheering her on, Vaiju performs the song “Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage.”
Ranvijay then sings a heartfelt number to Jaya, apologizing for past misunderstandings, and they embrace warmly. Vaiju expresses her gratitude to Bappa (Lord Ganesha) for the delightful occasion.
The following morning, Ranvijay surprises Jaya with a rose and showers her with compliments. Jaya playfully chides him, saying she’s already forgiven him and doesn’t need more flattery. Ranvijay invites her to join them at the bank to open an account for Vaiju.
Although Jaya is pleased for Vaiju, she mentions she has lunch plans with school friends. Ranvijay humorously remarks that she can’t refuse her friends but can easily overlook her husband’s request, to which Jaya teasingly calls him uninteresting. They both laugh.
Vaiju, deeply engrossed in her prayers, thanks Bappa and chants her mantras. Sulekha interrupts, but Vasundara gently informs her that Vaiju is engaged in puja (prayer). Vaiju excitedly talks about her upcoming visit to the bank to open an account with her own earnings. Ragini congratulates her, and Jaya arrives. Vasundara notices that Jaya isn’t wearing a Gajra (flower garland) and comments on it. Jaya explains that Ranvijay had already placed a rose in her hair.
Although Vasundara approves of the rose, she insists that Jaya should also wear a Gajra on this auspicious day. Jaya agrees to wear both. Vaiju helps Jaya adjust the Gajra, and Vasundara also places a flower in Vaiju’s hair, blessing her. Vaiju is touched, feeling truly embraced as part of the family. Vasundara reassures her that she is indeed a cherished member, just like Ragini.
Ranvijay then enters, reminding Vaiju to hurry to avoid getting caught in Ganpati Visarjan traffic. Jaya decides to leave as well. Ranvijay offers Jaya the car, suggesting that he and Vaiju take the bike instead.
Vaiju advises Jaya to drive carefully, and Jaya reassures her that everything will be fine. Vaiju gives Jaya a Ganpati idol for good luck, and Ranvijay jokes that Jaya should take it or Vaiju will drive him up the wall. Jaya laughs and accepts the idol before heading out.
At the bank, Ranvijay and Vaiju are greeted warmly by the manager. Ranvijay requests the opening of an account for Vaiju. As they complete the necessary paperwork, the manager notices Ranvijay’s attentive care towards Vaiju and inquires about their relationship status. Ranvijay dismisses the question, deeming it irrelevant. Vaiju signs the form with Ranvijay’s guidance, and he expresses his happiness to support her.
The manager then asks Ranvijay to sign as Vaiju’s guarantor. Vaiju hesitates, feeling she might not need the account anymore, but Ranvijay intervenes, signing the form with confidence and affirming his readiness to take responsibility for her. The romantic tune “Baawra” plays softly in the background.
The manager congratulates them on opening Vaiju’s first bank account. Ranvijay thanks him, and they leave the bank together. Ranvijay comments that while opening a bank account might seem mundane, for Vaiju, it feels like a significant milestone they are celebrating together.
As they step outside, a Ganpati procession passes by, and some sindoor (red powder) falls on Vaiju. She pauses, reflecting on past moments involving sindoor, and gazes thoughtfully at Ranvijay, lost in her memories.
