Mangal Lakshmi 4th November 2024 Written Episode Update: Karthik’s Deal with Jia Takes Shape

Scene 1
The episode begins with Lakshmi warmly telling Didi, Mangal’s younger sister, that she’s welcome to stay with her. Shanti intervenes, cautioning Lakshmi against stirring Didi’s emotions, but Mangal steps forward, clearly agitated. She announces firmly that she has no intention of staying with her mother or Lakshmi, explaining she doesn’t want to be a burden on anyone. Lakshmi, full of kindness, reassures Mangal of her faith in her and promises to always be there for her. Overwhelmed, Mangal excuses herself, stating she needs some rest, and quietly exits.

Meanwhile, Jia approaches Karthik, asking him to leave the past behind and focus on the future. Karthik seems reluctant, making it clear that he no longer wants any personal connections with her. Jia, however, reminds him that their current association is strictly business and insists he not let past grievances interfere with their professional collaboration. She tells him she’s moved on, and that he should do the same. After a pause, Karthik acknowledges her point, stating that he’s also moved forward and is content with his life. He ultimately agrees to proceed with the business deal.

Scene 2
Later, as Mangal plays with her son Akshar, she receives a surprising call from Ishana’s school. The school informs her that tuition fees for both Akshar and Ishana remain unpaid. Shocked, Mangal recalls that Adit usually takes care of this at the beginning of each month. When she confronts Soumya, Adit’s wife, Soumya reveals that Adit left the responsibility to her, but she chose not to pay, suggesting Mangal handle the fees herself. Left with little choice, Mangal begins searching for work but initially faces rejections, with employers expressing doubt due to her gender. Finally, she convinces one potential employer to give her an event job, where she’ll earn 5,000 rupees.

While getting ready, Mangal is spotted by her mother, Kusum, who notices she’s wearing a modest saree, having given away the ones Adit gifted her. Touched by Mangal’s determination and independence, Kusum offers to support her with money from her father’s pension. But Mangal declines, explaining she wants to maintain her dignity and independence. She chooses not to tell Kusum about Adit’s failure to pay the children’s fees, knowing it would cause her mother heartache.

Scene 3
Elsewhere, Jia calls Gayatri to share that Karthik has signed the deal, encouraging her to push forward and clear any remaining hurdles. Lakshmi overhears the conversation and, curious, asks who they’re talking about. Jia quickly explains that they’re discussing a friend’s son, who chose a partner not entirely accepted by his family. Changing the subject, Gayatri turns the conversation to Mangal, reassuring Lakshmi that Mangal is a resilient person and will find her way. Lakshmi, grateful for Gayatri’s encouragement, offers her a cup of coffee.

Meanwhile, Soumya is in the kitchen preparing dinner, and Mangal points out that the food looks overly oily. Soumya defensively explains that cooking isn’t her priority, hinting that her lack of skills in the kitchen might finally convince Kusum to relieve her from kitchen duties. During dinner, Adit finds the food too spicy and, choking on the heat, asks Mangal for help. She responds that she only prepared food for her parents. Sudesh appreciates Mangal’s thoughtfulness, leaving Adit disappointed in Soumya’s cooking. He asks if she can make something more palatable next time, to which Soumya responds that he can always order food instead. Frustrated, Adit points out he can’t rely on takeout every day, while Kusum suggests that if Soumya can’t improve her cooking, she can keep it for herself.

Scene 4
Later, Lakshmi surprises Karthik with a cake to celebrate his new deal. Karthik, however, seems distracted, thinking back to his meeting with Jia. Noticing his unease, Lakshmi gently asks if something is bothering him. Karthik embraces her, admitting he missed her today and confides that he has mixed feelings about the deal. Lakshmi comforts him, reminding him of his initial enthusiasm and encouraging him to stay positive and professional. Karthik takes a bite of the cake, smiling, and tells Lakshmi that she has a way of making him believe everything will work out in the end.

At the episode’s close, Mangal is seen preparing to leave for her new job. Soumya, noticing her departure and curious about her plans, decides to discreetly follow her.
