Mangal Lakshmi Written Episode Update – 2nd September 2024: Saumiya’s Food Order Raises Concerns

The episode opens with Sanjana questioning Lakshmi, “Did you sleep in a separate room last night?” Before Lakshmi can respond, Gayatri steps in, explaining that Karthik has a viral infection, which is why Lakshmi slept elsewhere.

However, Sanjana remains doubtful and remarks, “But I just saw him, and he seemed perfectly fine.” Sensing the tension, Gayatri instructs Lakshmi to return to her room, but Sanjana persists, warning, “What you did will eventually catch up with you.” Gayatri, growing impatient, retorts, “You should be grateful I’m letting you stay here.”

As the situation intensifies, Sanjana accuses Gayatri of deliberately trying to keep Lakshmi and Karthik apart, which Lakshmi overhears, leaving her troubled.

Meanwhile, Saumiya starts cooking but soon realizes that preparing food for seven people is overwhelming. Opting for a shortcut, she decides to order food instead. She instructs the delivery person to bring the food to the back of the house, planning to discreetly collect it through the kitchen window.

While waiting, she distracts herself by taking selfies in the kitchen. Elsewhere, the kids are playing with Adit, who smiles upon receiving a selfie from Saumiya. Ishana notices and asks, “Is this a joke?” Adit, irritated, snaps, “Don’t touch my phone again.” Sudesh tries to calm him down, but Adit insists, “It’s about respecting boundaries.”

Mangal then enters the kitchen and comments, “There’s too much water in the flour.” Just as she says this, the delivery person arrives, and Saumiya quickly ushers him away, saying, “Please leave quickly; Auntie will be upset if she sees you.”

Mangal becomes suspicious and tries to inspect the food, but Kusum intervenes, asking, “What’s going on here?” Saumiya explains, “I can’t cook properly if I’m distracted.” Adit steps in to support her, saying, “Let her cook in peace.” Eventually, Mangal leaves, allowing Saumiya to retrieve the food from the delivery person, though she accidentally drops the bill in the process.

Later, Lakshmi approaches Karthik, who coldly ignores her. She asks, “Why aren’t you talking to me?” He replies, “You already said it in the note.” Confused, Lakshmi asks, “What note?” Before they can continue, they hear Gayatri screaming in pain from a sprain. Lakshmi rushes to her aid, applying medicine to her foot. Gayatri then tells Karthik, “Go to your recording session; Lakshmi will stay with me. Don’t worry.” Reluctantly, Karthik leaves.

As the day progresses, Ishana suggests ordering food, but Mangal reminds her, “You’re allergic to certain ingredients.” Akshar chimes in, “I only like the food you cook.” Mangal then informs Ishana that Saumiya is handling the cooking today. Ishana, still suspicious, asks, “Why hasn’t Saumiya gone back home yet?” Mangal tries to call Shalini, but her husband rudely tells her not to call again.

When Saumiya serves the food, Adit is impressed, exclaiming, “You made so many dishes! I’m impressed.” Akshar requests cookies, and Adit encourages him, “Go ahead, have some.” Saumiya mentions that she made khichdi for Uncle. Noticing her efforts, Kusum asks, “Did you make all of this by yourself?” Saumiya, feeling guilty, admits, “Yes, I learned how.”

Mangal praises her, saying, “Learning while working is truly admirable.” However, Saumiya, overwhelmed by guilt, confesses, “I didn’t make all of this myself.” Adit reassures her, “You did a great job; you should be proud. Unlike some people who think cooking is the only skill they have.” Saumiya then asks Mangal, “Don’t you like it?” Mangal replies, “It’s delicious.”

Later that night, Ishana suffers an allergic reaction and cries out in pain. Kusum asks, “Did you eat something outside with your friends?” Ishana replies, “No, I was home all day.” Mangal quickly gives her medicine and then questions Saumiya, “Did you add white flour to the food?” Saumiya denies it, but Mangal insists on checking. In the midst of this, Saumiya notices a bill under Mangal’s foot.

Adit points out, “Mangal, there’s something stuck to your foot.” Mangal picks it up and realizes it’s a bill with their home address and phone number. Understanding the implications, Mangal confronts Saumiya, “Did you order all the food from outside?” Everyone is shocked as Mangal reveals the bill, exposing Saumiya’s secret.
