Megha Barsenge 1st October 2024: Arjun’s Job Saved from Dismissal

The latest episode kicks off with officers instructing Megha and the others to vacate the area. Stepping forward, Arjun urges them to leave the premises. An officer warns him, stating, “There will be repercussions for today’s events. Please report to the enquiry chamber.” Arjun acknowledges the request, while Megha expresses her worries, saying, “I intended to bring the truth to light, but I hope it hasn’t jeopardized your career.” Arjun reassures her, “I’ll stand by my words; I accept whatever decision they make.” With that, Talwar motions for Arjun to enter the chamber, and Megha offers a silent prayer for his fate.

Once inside, the officer comments on the gravity of the situation, remarking, “This incident should never have happened; it reflects poorly on the entire department.” Just then, a glass tumbler falls and shatters, causing Megha to flinch, recalling Bua ji’s saying that broken glass brings bad luck. The officer attempts to downplay the incident, saying, “This is unprecedented, but…” When Arjun finally steps out, Megha rushes to him, eager to hear the results. He looks for his father before turning to her with a smile, announcing, “I’m not dismissed; I received only a warning and a 30-day suspension.” Elation spreads across Megha’s face as she replies, “So your job is safe!” He nods, sharing in her joy.

Talwar approaches, offering his encouragement. “It all worked out because of you,” Arjun tells him gratefully. With tears of relief, Megha wipes her face with Arjun’s handkerchief. “You’ve done so much for me; I truly appreciate it,” she expresses warmly. Talwar then advises Arjun to head home to his mother, who has been anxiously praying for him. While Arjun agrees, he insists on discussing some matters with Megha first. They both acknowledge this and make their way to the police station, where Surinder and Ranjeeta observe their arrival.

Upon entering, Megha explains her reason for attending Arjun’s enquiry. Surinder chastises her, “I told you not to go! Did you lie about being married to Arjun?” Arjun interjects, apologizing and clarifying, “Megha spoke the truth regarding Manoj’s abuse; she’s remarkable.” Megha adds, “I thought it was crucial to speak out.” Arjun then states firmly, “We need to close the chapter on Manoj for good.” He instructs Ranjeeta to forward a copy of the FIR to the women’s commission, determined to build a strong case against Manoj and prevent him from returning. Surinder insists, “Let us handle the case from here; you’ve done enough. Please listen to your family; they may not approve of Megha, and that could complicate things.” He leads Megha away, while Ranjeeta follows.

Later, at home, Arjun makes coffee for Talwar, sensing something is bothering him. Talwar confides, “You need someone to share this burden with. I feel unmotivated to go to work.” Arjun apologizes, and Talwar admits, “I’ve worked hard to get where I am. I had ambitions of becoming DGP, and that was within reach.” Confused, Arjun asks, “What do you mean by that?” Talwar explains that what happens to Arjun affects the whole family. “I even visited Megha’s parents to plead for her; she’s the one who protested and saved your job. But now, my promotion is in jeopardy because of you,” he reveals, leaving Arjun feeling disheartened as Talwar leaves the room. Arjun picks up a newspaper to distract himself.

Meanwhile, at Megha’s home, Ranjeeta inquires about the chaos in the room. Megha starts gathering Manoj’s gifts and photographs, deciding to set them ablaze. Tears stream down her face as she remarks, “I need to release this emotional weight; it feels so liberating.” Back at Arjun’s house, his mother gently massages his head and encourages him not to dwell on his father’s harsh words. “You knew he would be upset,” Arjun responds. She nods, and as she reads the newspaper, she says, “Megha has ruined everything. You had to lie because of her. Tell me honestly, is there something between you and that abandoned woman?” Arjun corrects her gently, “Her name is Megha, and she is not abandoned.”

Just then, there’s a knock at the door. Megha opens it, finding no one there. Instead, she discovers a mysterious box left behind. “What’s this?” Goldie asks, while Ranjeeta urges her to investigate. Inside the box, Megha finds a note from Manoj, igniting her anger as she uncovers a phone. When she turns it on, her heart races as she is confronted with a video of her and Manoj from their wedding night. The room fills with shock and disbelief as everyone stares at the screen, unable to comprehend what they are witnessing.
