Mera Balam Thanedaar 26th September 2024 Episode Recap
The episode kicks off with Bulbul pleading with the Commissioner, begging him to arrest her in place of her husband, Veer. However, the Commissioner calmly informs her that, as a minor, she cannot be taken into custody. Taking advantage of the situation, Drishti mocks Bulbul, sarcastically praising her for using her knowledge of the law to save herself.
She accuses Bulbul of protecting herself and Veer, even if it meant sacrificing her parents. Gita, visibly irritated by Drishti’s antics, intervenes and orders her to stop with the drama. Gita reminds everyone that Drishti doesn’t actually care about the family, pointing out how she once injured her by smashing a vase on her head. Although Bulbul isn’t at fault, Gita notes that she’s taking all the responsibility upon herself.
The Commissioner then directs Dhruv to escort Gita to the police station and to arrest Bulbul’s father. Suddenly, Devender enters the scene, declaring that no one is going anywhere. He storms over to Veer, grabbing him by the collar, and accuses him of marrying Bulbul while fully aware that she was a minor.
Bulbul immediately intervenes, forcing her father to let go of Veer, and fiercely questions how he could lay a hand on her husband. Unmoved, Devender curses the day Bulbul was born, which secretly amuses Drishti as she silently admires his ruthless nature.
Devender continues to insist that he warned Veer about Bulbul’s age, but Veer went ahead and married her anyway. Tired of his lies, Gita calls him out, saying Veer had no clue about Bulbul’s real age and that both Devender and herself were the ones responsible. Devender, sticking to his story, claims there is no proof to back up Gita’s accusations. Gita stands her ground, declaring that she herself is the proof and accuses Devender of twisting the facts.
In a moment of rage, Devender attempts to strike Gita, but Bulbul quickly intervenes and stops him. She then presents a video to the Commissioner, revealing a crucial piece of evidence. In the footage, Gita is seen pleading with Devender to tell Veer the truth, stating that Bulbul and Veer truly love each other and want to marry.
However, Devender coldly responds by threatening to send them all to jail if Veer learns the truth. Using this video, Bulbul proves that Veer believed she was of legal age due to a falsified birth certificate. She confidently asserts that Veer is innocent. The Commissioner, torn between frustration and respect for Bulbul’s courage, acknowledges the strength of her evidence.
Turning to her father, Bulbul confronts him, accusing him of forcing her into marriage with Veer to protect his false pride. She defends Veer, asserting that he is an honorable man who would do anything for the truth. Bulbul goes on to tell her father that since he didn’t know the full story, he has no right to invoke the POCSO Act.
Devender, refusing to back down, claims Bulbul has made a huge mistake. Gita steps in, stating that Devender is simply facing the consequences of his actions. Consumed by guilt, Bulbul hugs Gita, apologizing profusely for the fact that Gita must go to jail because of her. Gita, accepting her fate, tells Bulbul that they must face the consequences of their wrongdoings.
The Commissioner then addresses Veer, warning him that although Bulbul’s actions saved him from serious legal trouble, this incident could still have a long-term impact on his career. Overhearing this, Drishti is thrilled, believing her plan to ruin Veer’s life is coming together perfectly. She quickly messages Ratan, asking for his help in bringing down both Veer and Bulbul.
Just then, a female officer from a juvenile home arrives. Drishti smirks in satisfaction, thinking that her plan is nearing its final phase. Bulbul, heartbroken, pleads with Veer, but he coldly tells her that their marriage was never strong and that, given her age, it was illegal from the start. Devastated, Bulbul retorts that no matter what he says, both of them know the truth—that their love and bond are real and unbreakable.
Drishti, pleased with the outcome, feels this is the perfect ending to her scheme, though she still has one last trick up her sleeve. As the child welfare officer leads Bulbul away, she and Veer exchange a sorrowful glance, recalling the love they once shared. Meanwhile, Varnika, Vayu, and Vani watch the heartbreaking scene, deeply saddened by the unfolding events.
As Bulbul steps out of the house, she places her hand on the wall, leaving behind an emotional imprint. Outside, a crowd of reporters and NGO activists has gathered, shouting slogans and accusing Veer of wrongdoing. Drishti, watching with satisfaction, reflects on her earlier conversation with Ratan, where she had laid out her plan for revenge. Now a politician, Ratan had eagerly agreed to help her bring down Veer and Bulbul. As the flashback ends, Drishti takes pride in the chaos she has created.
Despite Veer’s reluctance, the Commissioner hands him his police uniform and advises him to take his family inside. At that moment, a protestor throws ink at Veer, but Bulbul jumps in front of him and takes the brunt of the attack. Although a few drops of ink land on Veer’s face, it is Bulbul who bears most of the humiliation. Everyone stands in stunned silence as the episode draws to a close.
