Suman Indori: Episode Recap for September 23, 2024 – Devika’s Cunning Scheme Revealed
The latest episode kicks off with Suman deeply engrossed in prayer, hoping her culinary creations will match the divine taste of Prasad. She approaches the Royal Caterers’ chef with a respectful request, asking him to remove his shoes before stepping into the kitchen. Meanwhile, Gitanjali observes from afar, beginning to doubt her choice to involve Suman, anxious about the potential fallout.
Suman firmly asserts that the kitchen is a sacred area, much like the dwelling of Maa Annapurna, arguing that dirty shoes could taint the food. To emphasize her point, she takes off her own slippers.
Shortly after, Devika bursts onto the scene, deriding Suman for her worn-out, patched slippers and suggesting they should be discarded. Rishi takes note of Suman’s selfless nature, always prioritizing others while neglecting her own well-being. Devika, unfazed, dismisses Suman’s concerns, reminding her that they are seasoned professionals who know what they are doing and urging her to keep her distance.
Suman, despite the verbal jabs, maintains her composure and tells Malini to focus on their tasks. As she begins to prepare the food, the other chefs crowd around her, leading Malini to suspect that Devika is intentionally trying to undermine their chances of securing the catering contract.
Meanwhile, Devika assembles her team—Akhil, Poorvi, and Kritika—cautioning them not to underestimate Suman, whose chaat is renowned in Sarafa. Akhil reminisces fondly about Suman’s delectable chole tikki, while Kritika wonders if her cooking will live up to its reputation today. Yet, Devika is relentless in her quest to ensure Suman’s failure, dismissively labeling her culinary efforts as “garbage.”
As Poorvi enters the kitchen alongside Akhil, she orders Suman to stay away from her coffee maker. Suman and Malini request more room from the other chefs, but their requests are ignored. Devika continues to belittle Suman, asserting that her experience running a small cart means she shouldn’t need much space at all.
Malini grows frustrated, but Suman stands firm, confident that if she can cater to the entire Sarafa community, managing this intimate family gathering will be a piece of cake. Kritika questions Suman’s choice not to wear gloves, prompting Suman to explain that while gloves are common in Sarafa, they prefer to tie a dupatta on their heads instead of wearing caps. She quickly ties her dupatta and resumes her cooking.
Later, Gajendra makes his entrance, sending Suman into a panic as she fears he might reject her food outright. Devika, ever the manipulator, takes advantage of the situation. She scolds Kritika in front of Gajendra, pretending to impart lessons on family values, but Teerth sees through her facade. Gajendra questions the rationale behind calling Suman after she allegedly insulted his daughter, but Devika deftly shifts the blame onto Teerth.
Rishi reassures Suman, encouraging her to trust Neta Ji, who he believes will help her secure the contract, but Suman remains unconvinced. Devika, exuding confidence, claims that Gajendra, the famed namkeen king, won’t appreciate Suman’s culinary skills.
In a sneaky ploy, Devika sneaks into the kitchen and hides a coin inside one of the parathas, aiming to sabotage Suman’s dish. Although Suman catches her in the act and confronts her, Devika feigns innocence, insisting she was merely looking for sugar. Suman tells her to leave, but Devika cannot resist one last taunt before exiting. Malini grows more anxious, worried that Devika may have indeed tampered with the food.
As the plot thickens, Kritika pressures Devika for another scheme, hinting that something significant is brewing. Suddenly, the oven begins to spark, but Suman, resolute and focused, prays silently, ignoring the unpleasant odor wafting through the air. Teerth enters the kitchen, and Suman quips that she had called for divine help, not a devil. Teerth flirts, suggesting that if she gazes at him with affection, she’ll see an angel. Just as Suman continues her preparations, she slips, but Teerth is quick to catch her, intensifying the already charged atmosphere in the kitchen.
